Burle Marx Forma Livre Carved Tourmeline Earring

Thee earring features intricately carved tourmalines in the the “forma livre” (free form) style. Haroldo Burle Marx was particularly known for his use of large gemstones. The Forma Livre shape is often fashioned by carving or tumbling the gemstone, a technique invented by Haroldo Burle Marx in 1948.
The tourmelines measure 16 X 11.5mm, the earrings measure 21.5 X 16.5mm
