The ring features an intricately carved tourmeline in the “forma livre” (free form) style. Haroldo  Burle Marx were particularly known for his use of large gemstones. The Forma Livre shape is often fashioned by carving or tumbling the gemstone,a technique invented by Haroldo Burle Marx in 1948. The tourmaline measures 18*13.5mm.
